Saturday Critters #595

I do not have much to offer today, I spent a little time with my backyard birds,
and will share a few of my favorite pictures here.
It was a gloomy, rainy day...the birds were wet and hungry.

For my Good friend T

The House Finches and Catbirds are very easy to photograph.
I use a zoom lens, these pictures are not cropped,
this tree is very close to the window I hang out of to take these pictures.
I think the birds enjoy my antics!

  3. Hello Debbie,
Looks like the birds do not mind posing for you, especially when they are hungry. Cute images of the House Finch. The Catbirds are a favorite of mine, I hear one calling at the side of my house.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

  4. The pair of House Finches that appeared here in the spring are still around and visiting the birdbath so I am pleased. You got great shots again.

  6. House Finches and Catbirds. Two of my favorites. I saw my first catbird this year. He perched on a rail for a moment or two. Absolutely love your photos!

  7. Those birds probably wonder who the crazy lady hanging out the window is. I bet you are the talk of the bird community!

  10. I’m fascinated by the way that house finches were once only in the western states, then introduced in New York, and slowly spread to the entire country.

  12. Very well done with these bird portraits, Debbie, and how fortunate to have a great photo location too. The detail in your captures is wonderful. I am curious as to the equipment you use. Can you share in a comment or blog post?
