Our Golden Hour...

As I mentioned yesterday, we visited Longwood Gardens
on August 17th late in the day.
Much later then usual so we could see the Fireworks & Fountains show.
Taking pictures during the "Golden Hour" was fun
but I am not so sure I know what I am doing.

Here's a little peak at what we saw in the gardens...

Longwood Gardens

The hubs and I went on August 17th
but I still haven't shared the pictures of "us"!

At the Entrance...

at the Fountains...

the Idea Gardens

We used our tripod to take all these wonderful pictures.
We arrived later in the day to see the Fireworks so
these pictures are not very good, we were loosing the light.
But I must say, we had a ball taking them!!

I had planned on sharing more but
Chucks sister just called and Addie wants to have a play date.
Be still my heart, I'm on my way!!!!

A Beautiful Black-Capped Chickadee

Isn't she lovely!!
The Black-Capped Chickadee has a black cap
and bib with white sides to the face.
Its underparts are white with rusty brown on the flanks.
Its back is gray and the tail is normally slate-gray.
This bird has a short dark bill, short rounded wings
and a long tail.
Sexes look alike, but males are slightly larger and longer than females.

I think this is a girl!!

From Boston With Love

Beautiful ~ Thoughtful ~ Surprises

The card inside read:
"I hope this piece has personal meaning, just for you...
...a little reminder...a reflection...a gesture that marks a memory.

and flowers...

Imagine my surprise last Thursday when I
arrived at my infusion suite and the girls there told
me I had received a "sweet, special, delivery"!

Many warm thanks to my dear friend Adrienne at
for filling my heart with so much love and joy...
and for making me feel so very special!

Song-ography ~ The Summer Wind Edition ~ 6

The summer wind, came blowin in ~ from across the sea
It lingered there, so warm and fair ~ to walk with me

All summer long, we sang a song ~ and strolled on golden sand

Two sweethearts, and the summer wind

Like painted kites, those days and nights ~ went flyin by
The world was new, beneath a blue ~ umbrella sky
Then softer than, a piper man ~ one day it called to you
And I lost you, to the summer wind

The autumn wind, and the winter wind ~ have come and gone
And still the days, those lonely days ~ go on and on
And guess who sighs his lullabies ~ through nights that never end
My fickle friend, the summer wind

Fireworks and Fountains

Do you remember that the hubs was taking me to see the fireworks on
Saturday, the 17th of August?

We went to the show at Longwood Gardens and it was amazing!

Fireworks

and Colorful Fountains

Here are my captures...

It was such a beautiful night...
the air was crisp, the moon was shining bright,
and best of all, I was with the love of my life.

I got some awesome pictures of the hubs and I,
be sure and stop back tomorrow, so you don't miss them!!

We are leaving now for the hospital, treatment #3,
hopefully the last!
Many thanks for all your kind comments and well wishes,
what you don't realize is how much you all inspire me!!

Two Down, One to Go!!

I received my second dose of steroids today,
and I was able to visit many of my blogging friends during my treatment.
Have I told you lately how much I adore my IPad?!

Everything went great, my last dose is tomorrow, at 4 p.m.
Thank you Kim, I love and appreciate you more then you will ever know.
Kim is my favorite nurse at the MS Center,
but please, don't tell anyone.
She is kind and loving, beautiful both inside and out.
Her genuine concern for my health,
well being and happiness are unmatched.

CentraState Medical Center is without doubt the
most amazing hospital in New Jersey.
Inpatient care, Out patent care, Emergency Room, The MS Center
the food they serve...
and all the special activities they sponsor.
They have Craft Shows, Jewelry Shows...the list is endless,
today they had a Farmers Market.

I watched from my window as I received my treatment,
and as crappy as I felt afterward, I had to check out the local produce.

 Jersey Tomatoes

from Hauffman Farms

Apples and Peaches

Cantaloupe

Dilly Beans

Here's Debi and her "Honey"
Not the guy, he wasn't "sweet" enough, she had real honey.

There were also lot's of home baked goods.

So what jumped in to my bag, you ask...

One huge Jersey tomato,
for grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches tomorrow.

These gorgeous plums...

and this "too cute for words" Honey...

can you handle how adorable that jar and label are??

I am not sure if I will eat this, or just stare at the cute little bottle!!

Finding Beauty...

where you'd least expect it!!

I am back to CentraState Hospital,
for three more doses of I.V. Steroids.
At this point, if I where an athlete, using anabolic steroids,
I would be a man.
I take the other kind of steroids, so first I will get fat,
then I will have "zits"
and last but not least, I will be "difficult" to live with.
They call that side effect "mood swings".
We'll get Chucks take on that at a later date!!

As I walked toward the entrance to the hospital, I spotted this...

gorgeous Black Swallowtail,

who was more then willing to pose for pictures.

Everyone else walked by, no one even noticed this gorgeous butterfly,

or the beautiful colors in the Butterfly Bush!

But for me, this was a life changing moment.

I took this picture of the Yellow Swallowtail
as I left the hospital today, I will go back tomorrow.
He's a little torn and tethered, a lot like like me I guess,
but he was so happy to be flying free from flower to purple flower!

Looking In, Looking Out...

Either way, the view is amazing!!
